We believe we have been called to serve our communities that surround our church, with this in mind we have set two very unique projects that operate in Brierley Hill and Hawbush.
The Brierley Hill Project is managed by John Cook who trained here at Amblecote as a Youth Leader. It seeks to help and aid the residents of the Chapel Hill Estate, which is right in the heart of Brierley Hill. In partnership with The Baptist Church we have formed a community centre that is open 5 days a week and most evenings. It is one of the distribution centres for the Stourbridge FoodBank, so people who are in genuine need can drop in and get food parcels to see them through a crisis.

The Hawbush Project is trying to help residents on the Hawbush Estate.
It is managed by Simon Ashby who is, again, a Amblecote home grown worker. He has organised many events at mini-projects and we are beginning to see residents signing up for some of his courses. Next year, 2010, will see nearly 40 young people take part in the Hand’s Up project, which seeks to practically help residents of the estate. You can find out more by calling him on 01384 359612.
