Storm

Storm is designed primarily as a forum to motivate and empower Christian young people to change the world in which they live.

The vision of Amblecote Christian Centre is 'equipped people advancing the Kingdom of God' and Storm aims to equip young people to do just that. We have a group of young people who are simply awesome and eager to learn and debate all aspects of Christ and what it means to them.

  • Every Sunday morning, young people aged 11-16 learn about who they are in God and the impact they can make in their local community.
  • We share dreams and visions
  • Pray into each others lives
  • Young people debate and discuss key aspects of Christian living
  • Storm helps to create a community within which young people can empower each other

Club 12-15

Club 12-15 is our Friday night youth club at Amblecote Christian Centre and is run by young people, for young people.

SOCIAL ACTION
Teenagers go into their local estates to impact them in a positive way. This can range from playing football on the Hawbush estate to visiting older folk in homes.

DEBATES AND DISCUSSIONS
We want to engage young people and challenge their thinking. To do this we have regular discussions and debates about key social issues which are prepared by young people.

SOCIALS
This is a chance for young people to use all the facilities at the Amblecote Christian Centre and have an awesome time of establishing community together.

GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!
We take our young people out to a range of events which give them an amazing time. Whether it is Ice Skating, Live Bands, Concerts, or Barbecues everyone has a great time! Keep an eye on the website for details of trips.

Older Youth

The age group when Christians are most likely to lose their faith has historically been between 16 and 18, as the pressures of college life and all the world has to offer is laid before them. However we believe that many of them in this age group are at the stage where they are primed to; change their communities and transform their locality. Therefore so we offer something which equips them to fulfil this potential.

  • We have an awesome community of young people who meet from 8.45-10.15 on Friday Nights
  • Debates and Discussions on Christian issues which affect our everyday lives
  • If you are 16-19 and want to learn more about Christianity then come and see us

PUSH
(Pray Until Something Happens)

On a Wednesday night from 8-9.30, young people aged 12-20 come to the Christian Centre in Brettell Lane. This ministry fits into our overall youth vision as it reaches young people from Wordsley, Stourbridge, Amblecote, Brierley Hill, Hawbush and other areas over which we believe God has given us spiritual authority. We believe that many of these young people are key to transforming our local community. By discipling these young people the day will come when they go out, impact their friends and communities for God and make disciples of all people.

Youth at the Christian in Brettell Lane

  • Every Wednesday night, teenagers from Amblecote, Brierley Hill, Hawbush and the surrounding area come together for a great night of building community
