Family ministries at ACC

We believe that the family is a fundamental building block for the success of our community and as such have a wide range of activities aimed at developing this essential part of church and community life. Whether a pre school child or a retired member of the congregation we provide some activity for all ages. These include:

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Children’s church meets every Sunday and caters for children aged between 4yrs and 11yrs. The children worship, are taught how to pray and have a structured teaching and activity based program.

BUSY BEE’S

This is a teaching program for pre school children. Busy Bee’s is run at the same time as our morning service and allows you to enjoy the service whilst being sure that your child is enjoying Godly faith based activities.

MARRIAGE AND PRE MARRIAGE COURSES

In a society where nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce we believe it is essential to offer all the support we can to enable marriages to be the very best. Our marriage ministry team offers help and support for marriages and also run a marriage enhancement course.

PRE MARRIAGE COURSE

In order to prepare couples for marriage we run a pre marriage course that aims to provide a strong foundation for the initial years of marriage. We encourage all our couples to take part in this program before we marry them.

M.A.M.A.S

This group of young mothers both from church and the wider community meets mid week in the church and is aimed at mothers who have children of pre school age. The group meets for food and friendship and enjoy a variety of activities and speakers.

NEW LIFE CHURCH

New Life is a ministry for the older members of our church. Those over 55 meet every Thursday for lunch followed by a church service targeted at this age group. A variety of trips are arranged throughout the year.

YOUTH WORK

A comprehensive plan of activities is provided for the 12 to 20 age group. These include Sunday morning teaching , a Friday evening youth club and a Youth event on a Sunday once a month.

We also provide a youth club for young people from our local community on a Wednesday night called PUSH. Pray Until Something Happens.

CELL GROUPS

Our mid week activities are built around small groups of people of all ages meeting together in homes around the area. These groups aim to provide an environment for friendship, fellowship, and social activities. Each group has a Host who opens their homes for the purpose of a midweek gathering.
