Sunday 14th January -Engaging with a Post-truth World

A hundred years ago people disagreed with each other, but agreed that one of them was right and one was wrong! Today things are very different. Truth is no longer about objective reality, but our own perspective; absolutes are offensive and naïve. As the first sermon in our new series ‘questions of our time’, we will be exploring how our post-truth culture is affecting the way Joe Bloggs things about life and engages with anything that resembles ‘the gospel’, because the reality is that it is having an enormous effect. Evangelism today must look different to how it did even thirty years ago. The point of this series, including this Sunday morning is to examine the way people think and live in our culture, and how we can meaningfully engage with them.
