Earth or Heaven – A question of source
What is our source? This remains an issue for all time and in every age. We have an inbuilt compass that will always take us back to ‘earth’ rather than ‘heaven’, to the effort and ways of man rather than those of God. It is only through ‘revelation’ and an encounter with the baby delivered by God from heaven that will ever bring about change.
Like all good letter writers Paul opens the letter with a statement that captures the whole tenor of the letter. He begins by making it clear that the source of life and the purpose of His life is all held in the person of Jesus! What a challenge for us!
