So…the summer holidays are nearly over! …Mission Week has finished! …no more summer trips.
BUT DO NOT FRET – THE MISSION CONTINUES
God’s Masterplan is bigger than the summer holidays; it’s bigger than our mission week. It goes back over years and years and centuries and now we can continue to connect into His MasterPlan. So let’s continue to hook into His Mission, His Masterplan, day by day.
Some of the ways you can continue to connect into God’s Masterplan as part of Youth.
Sunday 5th September – Youth Service is back. At the brand new time of 6.30pm, meet at ACC
Wednesday 8th September – J Group and JJC starts again. 7.15-8.45pm
Friday 10th September – Club12-15, 7-8.30pm, Older Youth, 9.15-10.30pm
Sunday 12th September – STORM (at the New Venue!), 11.20am-12.15
So much going on! So don’t get bored sitting at home wondering what to do. Get involved. Get hooked in. And let’s continue to be part of God’s masterplan for our area, our friends, family and each other.
Check out the checklist with what to bring with you on this years Mission 2010. Its only a matter of days till we all gather our things, head to the ACC building and begin working together to impact our community. Great stuff.

We are pleased to inform you all that the Dudley Peer Participation Inspectors have awarded ACC Youth the award that shows that young people are actively involved in decision making, leading and contributing to the operation of our organisation. Participation is big on the government agenda and we are pleased that our work involving young people has been recognised.
The Dudley Peer Participation Inspectors are a group of young people working with Dudley Council for Voluntary sevice and the participation plus team. We took part in a pilot project where six faith and voluntary organisations worked with these partners to train and send out a group of young people who would interview young people involved in voluntary organisations.
The group came to us earlier in June, they interview around 15 young people who attended our youth club. We were informed that we had achieved the participation award mid July. We still have plenty to work on, involving our young people in our recruitment process was a suggestion the inspectors gave us. However, we are pleased that our work with young people, involving them in decision making, organising and delivering activities has been recognised by this award.
Check out our summer activities at ACC Youth. Anything you want to hook into? Just let us know.

Since 2005 we have been running our Summer Mission Weeks, which have always involved about 40 young people sleeping in one venue or as was the case last year sleeping in different homes and then spending the whole of that week going into the communities of Brierley Hill, Amblecote and Hawbush and touching people’s lives through practical activities.
This year we are pleased to say we are again going to be doing Mission and will be all staying and sleeping at the Amblecote Christian Centre for an entire week and our days will be full of amazing things for you to get involved in.
From first thing Monday Morning you will be involved in lots of activities which we hope will show you lots of different aspects around the gospel. The mission will finish at approximately 12 Noon on the Saturday and you can be collected from the Amblecote Christian Centre.
If you have been on mission before you will know how brilliant it is. If this is your first time then ask anyone from previous year’s and I guarantee you will book on for this week.
We are going to have a pre-mission meeting on Sunday 1st August starting at 7pm so once you book in please keep that in your diary.
To book in, get a letter and bring the consent form and £45 to Tim Barton or Simon Ashby as soon as possible. (please make cheques payable to Amblecote Christian Centre)
See you there…
