We believe biblical leadership is counter cultural. Leadership is expressed in serving rather than being served, giving away your life for the sake of others.
John Cook - Staff Elder

John has been in paid ministry at ACC for over 18 years serving in many different capacities. He has a strong gift for strategic organisational leadership. This gift is used in our own church family but also in a range of organisations including the Black Country Food Bank, Living Springs and a church networking organisation called Love Black Country. John is married to Belinda and has two children.

David Faulkner - Elder

David is a senior lawyer in the city of Birmingham and specialises in Employment Law. He is also an Employment Tribunal judge. David has a passion for scripture and its place in both the life of the local congregation and the individual believer. David is married to Philippa with two daughters.

Adrian Lowe - Elder

Having spent nearly 30 years in the retail industry Adrian felt the call of God to serve in a staff capacity. From 2005 to 2017 Adrian worked as full-time staff member as team leader. In May 2017 he was released by the church family to dedicate his time to serving the wider body of Christ in the town, region and nation. Adrian is married to Marion and has a son and two grandchildren.

Tim Barton - Staff Elder

Tim joined the paid ministry team in 2008. He now oversees many aspects of our church family’s life, including Children and Young People, communications and media and our Sunday morning gathering. He has a passion for teaching, for supporting and developing people, and for all things creative. Tim is married to Liz and has two boys.

 

Phil Cook - Staff Elder

Phil has been part of the church family for over 40 years and is the longest serving member of the team. He has served in a staff capacity for the majority of this time as a part of the pastoral team. He now works part-time pastoring our mid-week over 60’s congregation called New life. Phil is married to Anne and has four children and six grandchildren.

Tim Murray - Staff Elder

Tim joined the team in September 2017 having spent the last decade living, working and studying in Nottingham. Throughout this time Tim sensed the call of God to ministry and moved locations to pursue this calling with us.  Tim has a passion for the truth: identifying it, articulating it and striving to live into it. This plays out in a love of teaching, discipleship, pastoral care and mission. Tim is married to Jo and has three young children.

Roxanna Smith - Children's Worker

Roxy leads and coordinates our work with children, seeking to reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This involves working with children who are part of our church family but also reaching out into the community. Roxy’s passion is leading and pastoring pre and early teens as well as having a desire to reach out to children and families in the community.

Natalie Start - Youth Worker

Natalie leads and facilitates our gospel work among the younger generation aged 11-20yrs. Natalie gift as a networker and organiser enables her to create strong connections and a place to belong for this age group. Natalie’s passion is to see a younger generation become all they are meant to be in Christ.

Lynda Parkes - Operations Coordinator

Lynda has a passion to support the church family by ensuring that the day to day running of the centre and all its related activities happen smoothly. Her desire to see the church family become all that God intends it to become gives her the motivation to serve in this way.

Leo Pswarayi - Communication and Media

Leo joined our team in 2018 as our media and communications worker. He has a passion for using the tools available to us in our modern world for communicating our message effectively.

Sarah Barton - Finance and Accounting

Sarah works part time supporting the church family through her work in finances and accounting. Sarah is also a Director of the charity.
