Brierley Hill Babybank – ‘Families supporting each other to give their children the best possible start’

Brierley Hill Babybank has been helping families in our local community for over a year now, having successfully registered as a charity several months ago. The founder, Maz Page was inspired to create a babybank service through her voluntary work at the amazing Brierley Hill Project Foodbank/drop in.

We provide essential items such as moses baskets, clothing, toiletries, changing mats, toys, books etc for parents from 25 weeks gestation up to age 2 who are struggling. We rely on donations to help us stay open, however during this time we have had to close our drop off points and just use our current stock. Please pray that this lasts as long as we need it.

If you would like to help BHBB then we would love to hear from you… If you are a knitter, we desperately need boys/girls cardigans suitable for newborns and 0-3 months, (we have plenty of hats, blankets and mittens). Or you could grab a bottle of baby shampoo, baby bath, nappies, cotton wool etc in your shopping and keep to one side ready for when we can accept donations.

Please add our Facebook page; ‘Brierley Hill Babybank’, find us on Instagram or see our website for information and contact details www.brierleyhillbabybank.co.uk.

During the pandemic, the need, as expected, has increased. Running with 2 volunteers we continue to provide our service and do all we can to support our local community, providing hope and encouragement, signposting and befriending to families in need or isolation and facing uncertain times ahead.
