Directors Update
Directors Update

April 2020

Dear Church Family,

The Director Team wanted to keep you informed of how we are continuing to steward our resources during this extraordinary season.

First of all can we reassure you that although the physical church doors are closed we are still doing everything we can to attend to our legal obligations, making sure all our financial actions are completed with integrity, responsibly and with clarity. We are following the Government’s and Public Health England’s advice, making appropriate adjustments to the way we work, and seeking specialist advice should the need arise.

We appreciate that many of you are concerned about the impact of the current situation. This can be a real challenge however it is good to remember to draw on the scriptural truths that He is our generous provider, so we let our faith rise, while we look to Him, and then we can be good stewards with what HE has placed in our hands.

You will probably be aware that the Government has offered to provide a grant to cover 80% of an employee’s salary where individual roles have been temporarily significantly reduced, and this is currently being considered.

With regard to our tithes and offerings we want to thank all of you who give regularly by Standing Order as this really helps us to plan and make well-informed decisions. Thank you also to all those who give cash and cheques, however we would be grateful if you could consider setting up a Standing Order for this time at least, as cash and cheques cannot be processed currently. You can set this up easily directly with your bank. You can either visit your local branch (if they are still open) or log-on to your Internet Banking account using the account details below. If you wish to Gift Aid the donations you can complete the Gift Aid form here and post it back to the Church office.

Amblecote Christian Centre – HSBC sort code – 40-43-17 account number – 72309661

We are continuing with our regular giving from central funds to support ministries, giving to the poor and giving to missions however, all non-essential expenditure has ceased and this is being monitored regularly.

One of our Directors will be able to clarify any further questions you have in one of the forthcoming Amblecote Church Family remote gatherings on Zoom, however in the meantime, if you have any queries or concerns with regard to this update, please contact John Cook in the first instance on email johncook@amblecotechristiancentre.org.uk.

Once again, thank you for your faithful giving, support and understanding. Please pray that we receive wisdom to make the right decisions going forward.

God bless you all.
