Safe Families for Children – an update by Eric & Rachael Morse-Brown
Safe Families for Children – an update by Eric & Rachael Morse-Brown

Rachael and Eric would like to remind you about our involvement with Safe Families for Children – we have an update below which gives a little more background, as well as a video which explains how they operate (video) and talks of the amazing work that we can do through Safe Families.

If you’d like to get involved at any level, have a chat or just want some more info, please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you. We’re really excited about what has been achieved so far, as well as the potential there is to help local families in need. YOU can make a difference – you don’t need lots of time, you decide when and where you volunteer, aged 18-80, working, retired or at home, married or single, there is a role for EVERYONE.

The Heart of Safe Families is to:

1)  Prevent child neglect & abuse

2)  Stabilise families at times of crisis

3)  Reduce the flow of children going into care

 3 Ways to help

As a Church, we also seek to support three other charities:

1) YMCA Night Stop/Supported Lodgings

Could you use a spare room to support a young person who would otherwise be homeless?

2) Home For Good

Could you support a family in your church who are fostering or adopting? Home for Good can help with direction and advice for this, as well as offering training for Fosterers and Adopters

3) Transforming Lives for Good (TLG)

Could you give a child in school some extra support for 1 hour per week? TLG will offer training and support to do this

Contact Eric or Rachael Morse-Brown on 07720 813908 or 07970 121735 for more info on any of the charities mentioned
