Baby loss Sunday by Robert Chapman
Baby loss Sunday by Robert Chapman

This Sunday we are joining in an initiative by the national prolife charity Life and other churches across the UK to commemorate the lives of those lost before, during, or shortly after birth for any reason.

Losing a baby can impact us in so many ways and coming to terms can sometimes be a struggle and for some never possible. I know from my experience of losing four babies people find it difficult to know what to say, and therefore often say nothing. This can result in never really speaking openly about the impact in our lives, and the pain we carry. This Sunday is an opportunity to just remember those who have lost babies under different circumstance and so give space to remember. There will be an area at the back of the church where you can find prayer cards, as well as details of support services if you should need them. You can take this information away.

If you should wish, or know someone who you feel would benefit, we have in the Church family people who are only too happy to share your journey, to talk, to pray. None of us have all the answers but we have a heavenly Father who knows what we need.

Life is a charity that provides services giving practical and emotional support to women in crisis pregnancies and suffering after baby loss. If you would like more information or need support visit
